Hubris (hyoo - bris) n.

1. An insolent pride or presumption.

2. A conceit that causes one to write a blog posting as though it were a press release, including quoting oneself in the third person, obviously assuming that anything that person writes or says carries any weight to anybody possessing an IQ higher than potato salad.

EXAMPLE:

"Once again, the source of Sen. Bachmann's campaign funds raises the question of who she would really represent in Congress: the constituents of Minnesota's 6th Congressional District, or political extremists from outside the state and wealthy donors from outside her district," observed Eva Young, moderator of the www.DumpBachmann.com blog. "At this point, it looks like the latter."
