Reactions to the recess appointment of John Bolton

We all knew the Left would go nuts when W. announced the recess appointment of John Bolton today, but some of what’s being said is downright insane.

Here are some of the wackiest, with some level-headed responses sprinkled in.

This is my personal favorite:

"The abuse of power and the cloak of secrecy from the White House continues. ... It's a devious maneuver that evades the constitutional requirement of Senate consent and only further darkens the cloud over Mr. Bolton's credibility at the U.N." — Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (news, bio, voting record), D-Mass.

Does anybody really take Ted Kennedy seriously? The guy’s brain has been marinating in the old man’s bootleg Scotch for too many years.

If I were a Lefty I’d be working hard to keep the press away from him, but, as a good Right winger, I say let him talk.

Harry Reid is in the same playbook as Tipsy Ted:

"At a time when we need to reassert our diplomatic power in the world, President Bush has decided to send a seriously flawed and weakened candidate to the United Nations. It's an unnecessary result, and the latest abuse of power by the Bush White House. ... Bolton arrives at the United Nations with a cloud hanging over his head." — Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

“Seriously flawed and weakened candidate,” due to the overwhelming attack on his character by the Leftwing cabal that is the Democrat Party.

I swear, when you pit Harry Reid against Bill Frist in a battle of Senate Leadership don’t be expecting sparks to fly.

They are both total and complete losers who should never have been elevated to such positions.

The bottom line is this you Leftwing freak show rejects: the president has every right to appoint whomever the hell he wants through this process. There is nothing, repeat nothing that can stop him from doing exactly what he did.

So quit your bitching and moaning. Stop trying to make this out to be some usurpation of Senate power. Stop trying to portray this as another example of W attempting to create a monarchy.

Stop acting like the raving lunatics you are.

What was a pretty good fight is turning into a blowout. And as long as you Lefty fools keep up the rhetoric that plays only to the fringe the score will continue to get more lopsided.
