Here's how it will go...

I want to write Molly's column before she does:

DISCLAIMER - THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL MOLLY IVINS COLUMN...I JUST WANT TO SEE HOW CLOSE IT IS TO WHAT SHE ACTUALLY WRITES

Bush Administration's new air marshalls quick on the trigger

by Molly Ivi#*$

MIAMI - In Bush's post-9/11 America, where we are told to be afraid of everything and anything foreign, it is easy to understand how one poor, misguided man could be shot to death by federal marshalls simply for implying that he had an explosive device. I don't blame the air marshall. Heaven knows the training they receive is probably filled with even more hyperbole than is emanating from the White House each and every day for the express purpose of frightening the populace into submission.

No, this was bound to happen. The threat of terrorism has been so overblown that one cannot even have a bi-polar reaction on an aircraft and tell other people you have a bomb anymore without the feds shooting you in front of other passengers. And this is just how "W" wants it. What better way to keep the masses scared and edgy than to have an actual shooting of a "terrorist" now and then? Want to get your miserable war off of the front pages? Find a "terrorist" down at Miami International and have him shot.

In the Orwellian world of this administration, fear and anxiety are the opiate of the masses, and the White House makes sure the drug is administered in regular measured doses. Remember the big deal they made out of 9/11? One would have thought these guys had detonated a nuclear device in New York rather than just flying a couple of planes into buildings that were 30 years old anyway. And the way they keep reminding us every September 11th since is just typical of W's need to keep us scared and compliant.

Well I ain't scared and I'm sure not gonna be compliant. Blah, blah blah blah...
