Doin The DFL Two-Step

It’s like a game of musical chairs. First Kelly Dorn runs for US Senate, then, when he realizes he’ll get his ass kicked by the DFL establishment, decides to take a shot at the big house on Summit Avenue. Now, Patty Wetterling, who was also running for the US Senate decides to drop out and enter the race for the 6th Congressional District, a seat she said she would not seek.

It appears the Mark Dayton Syndrome is spreading through the DFL. Primary symptom: Keep running for different offices until you win one.

With this move, Patty has officially become an “insider”. No longer can she claim that she is not a politician.

Say “goodbye” to the “Children’s Advocate” moniker and “hello” to “Professional Pol”.
Welcome to the club, Patty. Prepare to be flayed by all opponents.
