More on The System

Since I got nothing else to write about...

As many of you know, The System was discovered after the Wild Card round of the playoffs this year. Therefore, playoffwise, it hadn't really been put through its paces. In order to ascertain The System's overall success in the playoffs, I went back and looked at the Nihilist's picks for the wild card games:

Buccaneers -2 1/2 v. Redskins
Jaguars +7 1/2 @ Patriots
Panthers +2 1/2 @ Giants
Bengals +3 1/2 v. Steelers

And the results from week 1:

Redskins 17, Bucs 10 - WRONG
Pats 28, Jags 3 - VERY WRONG
Panthaz 23, Giants 0 - THE BLIND SQUIRREL FINDS AN ACORN!
Steelaz 31, Bengals 17 - SO WRONG THAT THE STEELERS WENT ON TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL

Interesting observation: The Nihilist bet against the eventual Super Bowl champion in every round of the playoffs.

The System would have yielded a 3 - 1 outcome during the Wild Card games, making for an unheard-of success rate of 9 -2 over the course of the playoffs.

Wow.
