AAA's Name Hijacked By Ron Paul Journalists

We give "teh Former Mayer" a lot of guff for his spelling, and we take stabs at misspelling Andy's name. This weekend, AAA made it into some local and national articles, where you'd think the reporter would verify the name before clicking "upload."

Andy Barnett and World Net Daily first had it as Aplikowsky - but fixed it up after AAA mentioned it at his blog. It's all good now.

Then today, the Strib took a stab at it:

"We knew they were coming and they were willing to lie, cheat and steal -- maybe not steal, but they were willing to say anything," Andy Aplinkowski, the district's vice chairman, said of the Paul supporters.

I mean come on. Do you ever see them misspell Armadinejad? Areme... Armedin.. Okay okay, you get my drift. But I'm not a paid journalist. The Strib does it again further into the article:

The delegate candidates were asked to answer whether they supported John McCain. The Paul supporters were elected under false pretenses, Aplinkowski said.

Near the end of the article, they get it right:
Realizing that the Paul supporters were rolling to victory, Aplikowski made a motion that would bind the delegates to McCain at the national convention.

Bing bing bing bing bing! But wait — the victory is short-lived as you move down to the comments section...

It's a shame that no rebuttal or opposing view to Mr. Aplinkowski's statements were clearly presented. His harsh allegations may come home to roost if he is not careful.

UPDATE: This commenter almost scored a double trifecta:

Andy Aplinkowski, you are the liar and cheater.

"We knew they were coming and they were willing to lie, cheat and steal -- maybe not steal, but they were willing to say anything," Andy Aplinkowski, the district's vice chairman, said of the Paul supporters. Realizing that the Paul supporters were rolling to victory, Aplikowski made a motion that would bind the delegates to McCain at the national convention. It was approved, but he said he doesn't know if it's legally enforceable.

It is interesting how Andy Aplinkowski accuses other people of cheating, and then Andy Aplinkowski acknowleges he is a cheat when he says, "doesn't know if it's legally enforceable". Andy Aplinkowski, you are the liar and cheater.
